Fair Haven

Approximately 6,500 people reside in Fair Haven.  Fair Haven is a 1.7-square-mile town on the Navesink River just a couple of miles in from the ocean. Fair Haven offers a wide range of real estate. Most of the older homes can be found along River Road, bookending the town’s commercial center, or in its picturesque historic district, often referred to as the “Old Village,” on the three blocks perpendicular to River Road and ending at the Navesink. With its picket fences and sidewalks, it is reminiscent of the small towns of the 1950s where kids ride their bikes to school and friend’s houses.

The Commute

There are New Jersey Transit train stops close by in Little Silver and Red Bank. Many residents choose the ferry, which is faster, and a lovely commute although a bit more expensive. Ferries from  the Highlands or Atlantic Highlands, are about a 10-minute drive from Fair Haven, take 40 minutes to get to Manhattan and travel year-round. Driving to the city takes just over an hour. Bus options are available as well.
